John Bach was a film and television actor born in Wales on June 5th, 1946. His first role in a science fiction project was playing a character named Travis on the "A Sound of Thunder" episode of Ray Bradbury Theater. Bach would go on to portray two noted literary figures from the works of Jules Verne. In 1995, he played the diabolical Captain Nemo in all twenty-two episodes of the short-lived Mysterious Island television series. In 1997, he played Professor Arronax in the televised adaptation of Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. He later went on to play a character nicknamed "Einstein" in the "Unrealized Reality" episode of Farscape. He reprised the role for the 2004 mini-series Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars.
