Jennifer Lien is an American actress born in Chicago, Illinois on August 24th, 1974. She is best known for playing the role of Kes on the UPN science fiction television series Star Trek: Voyager. After spending some time doing theater, Jennifer made her break into television Hannah Moore on an episode of the daytime soap opera Another World. She then had a regular role playing a character named Roanne on the short-lived sitcom Phenom. Her first science fiction work as Kes in the pilot episode of Star Trek: Voyager, "Caretaker". Lien appeared as a regular cast member for four seasons, but eventually departed the series in 1997 with the second episode of season four, "The Gift". From 1997 to 2000, she provided the voice for the character of Elle in the Men in Black animated series.
