James O'Barr is a comic book writer and graphic artist. Sometimes credited as Jonny Zero, he is best known for creating the popular underground cult comic hero The Crow for Caliber Press. The story of the book's main protagonist, Eric Draven, was largely inspired by a tragic drunk driving collision that claimed the life of O'Barr's fiancée in 1978.
