Dominic Keating is a British actor born in Leicester, England on July 1st, 1962. His first work in the science fiction genre was playing a character named Mallos in six episodes of the fantasy/adventure series The Immortal. However, Keating is best known for his portrayal of the ultra-pragmatic Lieutenant Malcolm Reed in the 2001-2005 sci-fi series Star Trek: Enterprise. Keating was a regular cast member on the show and appeared in all 98 episodes.
Following the cancellation of Star Trek: Enterprise, Keating appeared in an episode of Las Vegas directed by David Straiton, who also directed ten episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. Star Trek: The Next Generation guest star Nikki Cox was a regular on Las Vegas.
Keating later starred in the horror movie Hollywood Kills, in which he played a sadistic Hollywood producer who tortured potential movie stars. Also, Keating and his "Rajiin" co-star Nikita Ager participated in the Jonathan Winters documentary Certifiably Jonathan. In addition, Keating played the villainous Forbes McGuire in the direct-to-video fourth installment of the sci-fi/horror thriller thriller Species: The Awakening, co-starring Ben Cross. He also reunited with his Enterprise co-star Jeffrey Combs for a short film called The Attackmen.
