Daniel C. Pearl is a film cinematographer born in the Bronx, New York City in 1951. His first work in the sci-fi genre was the 1986 remake of Invaders from Mars, directed by his longtime colleague Tobe Hooper (whom he worked with on Hooper's seminal 1974 horror classic, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre). Pearl then went on to shoot the 1987 comedy Amazon Women on the Moon. In 2004, he worked on the television movie adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. In 2007, he was the director of photography on Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.
