Catherine Lacey was a British film and television actress. She was born in the Paddington neighborhood of London, England on May 6th, 1904. Catherine's first work in the horror genre was playing the role of Ella Venable in the 1961 mystery thriller The Shadow of the Cat. She then went on to play a demented fortune teller named Haiti Ali in the 1967 film The Mummy's Shroud. Catherine Lacey passed away in Denville Hall in Northwood, Hillingdon in London, England on September 20th, 1979 at the age of 75.
Catherine Lacey's first credited, and arguably most well known work in film, was playing a secretive nun the 1938 mystery thriller The Lady Vanishes, directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
Catherine Lacey played Mrs. Manningham in the 1947 film Gaslight.
