Carter Jenkins is an American film and television actor born in Tampa, Florida on September 4th, 1991. He is best known for playing the role of Miles Barnett, a young boy who befriends a newborn aquatic animal on the NBC television series Surface. He was one of the billed cast members on the series and appeared in all fifteen episodes.

In 2006 Carter played Todd Barstow in the "Graduation Day" episode of the USA Network television series The 4400. In 2009 he played Tom Pearson in the sci-fi/comedy movie Aliens in the Attic.
