Bill Mumy is an American television actor born in San Gabriel, California on February 1st, 1954. He is best known for playing the role of Will Robinson on the popular Irwin Allen sci-fi series Lost in Space. Bill was one of the main characters from the show and was introduced in the program's pilot episode, "The Reluctant Stowaway". He appeared in all 84 episodes of the show.
Before his stint on Lost in Space, Bill Mumy made several appearances on the Rod Serling cult anthology series The Twilight Zone. He played Billy Bales in the season one episode, "Long Distance Call". In season three he played Anthony Fremont in the episode "It's a Good Life". He also played young Pip in the season five episode "In Praise of Pip".
From 1994 to 1998 he played Lennier on the sci-fi series Babylon 5. Though credited in all 110 episodes of the show, his character actually made very few appearances.

- Bill Mumy shares a birthday with Frankenstein author Mary Shelley. Shelley however, was born in 1851.
- For his role as Kellin on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Bill Mumy insisted on playing a human character after donning alien makeup for Lennier on Babylon 5 for four years.
- "The Quality of Mercy" was an episode of Babylon 5 that guest-starred June Lockhart. Lockhart co-starred with Mumy in Lost in Space, playing the character's mother Maureen Robinson.
