Bill Everett was a comic book writer, penciler, colorist, letter and cover artist. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on May 18th, 1917. Bill Everett is best known for creating the character of Namor, the Sub-Mariner, who first appeared in Motion Picture Funnies Weekly #1 in April, 1939. He is also known for creating the costumed superhero Daredevil, who debuted the pages of his own comic magazine in April, 1964. Bill Everett passed away on February 27th, 1973 at the age of 55. An obituary column was included in the editorial soap box in Sub-Mariner, Volume 1 #61 (May, 1973).
