2023

2023 is the the twenty-third year in the 21st century. It follows 2022 and precedes 2024. It began on a Sunday. 2023 saw the beginning of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which includes a colorful menagerie of the next wave of exciting super-heroes and dastardly super-villains. Lots of Kangs, lots of Skrulls, some shield-slinging, some maddening multiverses, some time travel, and even a talking tree or two. And speaking of time travel, there is even a certain Gallifreyan time-lord who will be celebrating their 60th Anniversary this year. On the DC Comics side of film fare, we even get some super-speedsters, some beer-swilling sea kings, and a magical powerhouse who is all about family. It could be said that 2023 will have a veritable "Legion of Super-Heroes" if you will. To say nothing of the usual gamut of giant monsters, giant robots (they're more than meets the eye, I hear), giant sharks, and some sword-swiping, num-chuk slinging, pizza-eating masked reptiles. Cowabunga! 2023 is a "Scream" to be sure.
