Cassandra "Cassie" Lane is a fictional cybernetic squad leader and a recurring antagonist/supporting character featured in the Cyberforce family of comic book titles published by Image Comics under their Top Cow Productions imprint. She first appeared in Cyberforce #1 in October 1992.

Biography[]

Origin[]

Cassie Lane was the older sister of Carin Taylor. She grew up to become an athletic tomboy and the star pitcher on her high school baseball team. A disgruntled ex-boyfriend named Tony, decided to satisfy his aggression against her by mangling her throwing arm.

The cybernetics engineering corporation known as Cyberdata approached Cassie and offered to replace her ruined arm with a cybernetic one. Against her will, Cassie was fitted with a "Brain Box" that made her subservient to Cyberdata's wishes.

Cassandra was given the code name Ballistic and she became the leader of one of Cyberdata's S.H.O.C. units.

Missions[]

Ballistic led a S.H.O.C. unit to retrieve her own sister, Caryn, who was a mutant gifted with super-speed. This brought Ballistic into conflict with former Cyberdata agents in Cyber Force.
