The Scorpion is a fictional comic book character whose real name is Carmilla Black. She is featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics and was introduced in Amazing Fantasy, Volume 2 #7 in June, 2005 in a story called "Worst. Homecoming. Ever.", which is chapter one in the six-part "Poison Tomorrow" story-arc. The character is presented as a genetically altered mercenary whose search for her past brings her to join the S.H.I.E.L.D. spy agency.
