Carmen Pryde is a fictional character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was created by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne and first appeared in Uncanny X-Men, Volume 1 #129 in 1980.
Overview[]
Carmen Pryde was a Jewish businessman and the husband of Theresa Pryde. Together they had a daughter, Katherine "Kitty" Pryde, who was born with the mutant ability to make herself intangible. When Kitty was fourteen-years-old, Carmen allowed Professor Charles Xavier to enroll her in his special mutant academy, Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
Carmen Pryde was one of millions of people who lost their lives during Cassandra Nova's sentinel attack on Genosha.
