Carmen Esposito is a fictional reporter and a minor character featured in the Evil Ernie line of comic book titles published by Dynamite Entertainment. She was introduced in Evil Ernie, Volume 3 #1 in the "Origin of Evil" storyline.
Biography[]
Carmen Esposito was a young dark-haired woman with an ambitious and apparently unscrupulous nature. Along with several other members of the media, she attended the mass gathering or protesters and capital punishment advocates that had gathered outside the Widmark Maximum Security Prison for the scheduled execution of Ernest Fairchild, who had committed mass murderer by poisoning the water supply of Lucretia, Texas, resulting in the deaths of 665 people. [1]
Fairchild was executed in the electric chair, but due to a previous Satanic ritual, was resurrected as an undead maniac, committed towards punishing the sinners of the world.
"Evil" Ernie broke out of the prison and came upon Carmen, who was in the midst of barking orders to her cameraman Phil. Using his spiritual perception, Ernie determined that Carmen was a treacherous soul and used his powers to set her head on fire. [2]
Carmen died as a result, but shortly thereafter, her body was resurrected as a zombie for Evil Ernie's undead army. [3] Carmen's body was destroyed when the government decided to drop a low-yield nuclear weapon onto the prison facility. [4]
