Carefree is a fictional town located in the US state of Arizona. It is featured in comic book titles published by Marvel Comics. It first appeared in Nova, Volume 5 #1 in 2013.
Carefree is the home of the Alexander family, which consists of Jesse Alexander, and his children Sam and Kaelynn Alexander. Jesse Alexander was once a member of the interstellar peacekeeping agency known as the Nova Corps. The mantle of Nova was eventually passed down to his son. Jesse would drunkenly regale his fifteen-year-old son Sam about his adventures in the Nova Corps. Sam never believed him, until that one fateful day when a green-skinned warrior woman and a talking raccoon visited him and invited him to become a member of the galaxy's most elite police force. [1]
