The city of Cardiff is the county town of the historic county of Glamorgan (and later South Glamorgan). Cardiff is part of the Eurocities network of the largest European cities. Points of Interest[]

Cardiff Royal Infirmary
The Cardiff Royal Infirmary is a hospital situated in the heart of Cardiff, Wales. The hospital began with the beginning of Cardiff Dispensary in 1822. In the Spring of 2006, members of the alien race known as the Raxacoricofallapatorians representing the Slitheen family staged a faux U.F.O. crash landing in the heart of London. Members of the Unified Intelligence Taskforce recovered a body from the wreckage and took it to the Cardiff (referred to as Albion Hospital). This incident sparked the interest of the Ninth Doctor, who went to the hospital to analyze the staff's findings. He learned that the Slitheen had conducted genetic enhancements on a regular Earth pig to make it look like an alien. [1]
Queen's Hospital
Located in the city of Cardiff in Wales, this is where Doctor Frank Mannering worked as a surgeon. In the early 1940s, Larry Talbot was admitted to Queen's Hospital after he had been found unconscious in streets with a severe head wound. Talbot tried to warn Mannering and the rest of the hospital staff that he was a werewolf, but his warnings were largely ignored. On the night of the full moon, Talbot transformed into the Wolf Man, broke through the hospital window and escaped. [2]
