  • Artist Mike Zeck becomes the regular series penciler on the title beginning with this issue.
  • The Señor Suerte that appears in this issue is actually Phillip Garcia and is the first appearance of the character. He is impersonating his brother Ramon Garcia, who also went by the code name of Señor Muerte. Ramon Garcia appeared last in Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #10-11.
  • Thor appears in a flashback scene, but does not appear with the rest of the Avengers in the main story.
  • First and only appearance of Doug and Ginny Barber.
  • Cap makes reference to the time he spent in Vietnam. This took place in Captain America #125.
  • One of the party guests in the flashback scene looks like a Conehead.
