Captain America is an American animated television series of the superhero fantasy genre. It is based on the character of Captain America as seen in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The series aired as part of the "Marvel Super-Heroes" programming block, and was produced by Marvel Enterprises and Grantray-Lawrence Animation. Each episode was a half an hour long and contained three segments each, running approximately seven minutes. The show aired on Monday afternoons from September 1st, 1966 to November 28th, 1966. There are thirty-nine mini-episodes in the series in total.
