Candyman is an American feature film of the supernatural thriller and slasher genres. It is the fourth installment in the Candyman film series and was released twenty-two years after the previous installment Candyman 3: Day of the Dead. The movie was directed by Nia DaCosta with a screenplay written by Jordan Peele and Win Rosenfeld. It was produced by Monkeypaw Productions and distributed through MGM. Candyman was originally slated for a 2020 release date, but was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its projected release date is August 27th, 2021.
