Camp New Horizons is a fictional campground featured in the Sleepaway Camp film series. It was the main setting for the 1989 film Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland.
Description[]
Camp New Horizons was originally known as Camp Rolling Hills. However, the camp was shut down after in 1987 following the events of a murder spree committed by Angela Baker. The camp was then purchased by Lily and Herman Miranda, who tried to fix it up, though most of the old cabins had fallen into ruin.
The Mirandas invited a news crew out to the site to promote it under its new name and new initiative, which focused on bringing in campers from different walks of life for an "experiment in sharing". Lily tried to keep knowledge of the campground's notorious history away from public knowledge as much as possible. Angela Baker, using an assumed name, infiltrated the camp as one of the counselors, and the nightmare of murder continued once again.
