This is often represented as a process utilized by members of the military who need to infiltrate an area, or by other vocations such as hunters. In speculative fiction there are individuals who may possess this as a super-power. Some alien races may possess this ability as a natural aspect of their physiology. Various types of equipment, paraphernalia and vehicles may also incorporate camouflage.
