Biography[]
Little is known about Calox save that he was an ancient god-like being from beyond the stars. He arrived on the planet Krypton during the planet's Stone Age. He promised the primitive Kryptonians of the isle of Bokos that he would teach them the secrets of the universe, and they immediately took towards worshiping him, regarding Calox as the "Supreme One". He demonstrated his tremendous power by transforming a rock bed into a garden. Once he had solidified himself as a figure of worship, Calox placed himself into a state of suspended animation.
Millennia later, an excavation team discovered what they believed to be the preserved remains of Calox. He was analyzed at length by Kryptonian scientist Jor-El and his wife Lara. A time-traveling Batman and Jor-El and Lara's adult son, Superman, were involved in the analysis.
