Caleb is a fictional looney-pants featured in the UPN supernatural-action series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Played by actor Nathan Fillion, he was introduced in the season seven episode, "Dirty Girls", and made five appearances in the series in total. His final appearance was in the series finale, "Chosen".
Overview[]
Caleb was an agent of the First Evil who masqueraded as a priest. He came to Sunnydale, California in 2003 preaching the First's rhetoric and became an enemy of Buffy Summers and her neophyte Slayer potentials. Caleb is responsible for maiming Xander Harris by gouging out his eye and is ultimately killed by Buffy.

- The role of Caleb was the break-out character for Canadian actor Nathan Fillion, who later went on to become a sci-fi icon for his portrayal of Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds in Firefly and later as fictional mystery writer Richard Castle on ABC's Castle.
