The Bureau of Normalcy is a fictional organization featured in the DC Universe streaming service and HBO Max television series Doom Patrol. It first appeared in the season one episode, "Danny Patrol".
Description[]
The Bureau of Normalcy was based out of the Ant Farm, and was originally conceived as a research think-tank, investigating people and situations that fell outside of mainstream standards. It was originally known as the Bureau of Oddities and was founded by Niles Caulder. With the onset of the Great War, the organization shifted its focus towards weaponizing these so-called oddities, and in failing to do that, eradicated them. Niles Caulder since left the group and started his own private sanctuary for displaced oddities, the members of which collectively became known as the Doom Patrol.
