Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American television series which aired on the WB Network (and later the UPN network) from 1997 to 2003. The series spanned seven seasons and a total of 145 episodes, with an average of 22 episodes per season. The show was created by director/writer Joss Whedon and was loosely based on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer feature film starring Kristy Swanson. The show was produced by Whedon's Mutant Enemy production company as well as 20th Century Fox Television. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a horror/comedy that centered around the titular hero Buffy Anne Summers, a high school student who also has the misfortune of being the Chosen One, the Slayer - "one girl in all the world... born with the strength and skill to fight the vampires, to stop the spread of their evil and the swell of their numbers".
This page is either a comic book volume or issue relating to Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics that is considered a "stub" page, which means - it requires a LOT of additional work in order to bring it up to an acceptable standard of quality. Editors are encouraged to make improvements upon this page as needed. Once all relevant tasks have been satisfied, this template should be removed from the page, which will also remove it from the "Buffyverse/Tasks" category.
This second volume of our Buffy omnibus series collects many of the best Buffy comics to see print. As we follow the newly chosen Slayer from Los Angeles to Sunnydale and through her parents' divorce-with Dawn in tow-the souled vampire Angel makes his first appearance and the not-so-souled Spike and Drusilla cleave a bloody path toward the West Coast. This collection includes the critically acclaimed graphic novel Ring of Fire and the miniseries A Stake to the Heart, and reflects the Season One to Season Three timeline of the cult-hit TV series. A fitting companion to Joss Whedon's comics-based relaunch of the show.
