Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American comic book series of the supernatural action and horror genres, with an emphasis on vampires. It is based on the popular WB Network television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The series serves as the definitive origin of its eponymous hero, Buffy Summers, and was written by Joss Whedon and Christopher Golden. It was illustrated by Joe Bennett and inked by Rick Ketchum. Coloring was provided by Jeromy Cox and Guy Major, and it was lettered by Ken Bruzenak. The series was edited by Ben Abernathy and Scott Allie.
