Season Seven of Buffy the Vampire Slayer aired on the UPN network from September 24th, 2002 to May 20th, 2003, totalling twenty-two episodes. It is the final season of the series, bringing the total episode count to 144 (not including the original unaired pilot). The only original cast members from the series to reprise their role as season regulars are Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon and Alyson Hannigan. The season also stars season six regulars, James Marsters, Emma Caulfield and Michelle Trachtenberg reprising their respective roles as Spike, Anya and Dawn Summers. Actor Anthony Stewart Head makes consistent appearances throughout the season, but is credited as a special guest star. Other returning guest stars featured this season include David Boreanaz as Angel, Tom Lenk as Andrew Wells, Eliza Dushku as Faith Lehane and Elizabeth Anne Allen as Amy Madison. Actor DB Woodside takes on a recurring presence as well in the form of ass-kicking Sunnydale High School principal Robin Wood.
