Bucky cable is the name attributed to a salvage tool seen in the 2000-2005 science fiction television series Andromeda. They are a type of towing/grappling cables that are installed aboard salvage ships. In the Commonwealth year 10087, salvage expert Beka Valentine, captain of the Eureka Maru used Bucky cables to latch onto the lost starship, the Andromeda Ascendant and pull it free from the gravitational pull of a black hole.
