Brutus' hood gang is a fictional organization featured in the Planet of the Apes multimedia franchise. It is associated with the "Terror on the Planet of the Apes" storyline and first appeared in Planet of the Apes #1 by Marvel Comics and Curtis Magazines in August, 1974.
Description[]
This was a militia of masked gorillas under the leadership of Brutus. They openly opposed the Lawgiver's stance of coexistence between apes and humans, and targeted specific individuals whom they deemed as "human lovers". They believed that they had served the "divine cause of ape dominance". Brutus' gang were responsible for the brutal murders of David and Beth, who were the parents of Jason. They also attacked the parents of chimpanzee sympathizer Alexander. [1]
