Biography[]
Little is known about Bruce W. Wolf's past but for the fact that at some point, he became a werewolf. It has been implied that Bruce may also have a prolonged lifespan, perhaps even going back several centuries.
For reasons unknown, Bruce was rendered inert and kept in suspended animation inside a chamber in Fred's Wax Museum. Also within this chamber were the unconscious bodies of Dracula and the Frankenstein Monster. When a night watchman named Walter turned on his crime computer, it sent out oscillating waves that resurrected the three monsters. Also known as simply "The Werewolf", Bruce sought to make up for the evils of his past and became a heroic fighter for good as a member of the Monster Squad.
Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Bruce W. Wolf was created by producers William P. D'Angelo, Harvey Bullock and Ray Allen and developed for television by Stanley Ralph Ross.
- Unlike Dracula and Frank N. Stein, Bruce W. Wolf is a unique character to this series, and is not based on any pre-existing literary figure. It could be argued however that Bruce's character was inspired by Larry Talbot, the main character featured in Universal Pictures' 1941 horror film The Wolf Man.
