The Brotherhood of the Scriers is a fictional organization featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and are associated with the Spider-Man line of titles. They first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #417 in November, 1996 in a story called "Secrets".
Description[]
The Brotherhood of the Scriers is a secret society and an ancient organization that was active millennia before the fall of Atlantis. Members of the group are characterized by wearing a chalk-white death mask and a black hood and robes.
The Brotherhood of Scriers were responsible for taking the deceased form of Norman Osborn, who died during a battle with Spider-Man, and resurrecting him. However, it would be years before Norman Osborn was able to publicly reveal himself again.
