Brood Queen is a fictional title featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is associated with the X-Men line of comic titles and first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #164 in January, 1982.
Biography[]
The Brood Queen is the matriarch of the extraterrestrial warrior race known as the Brood. She governs the actions of all of the lesser castes that make up the Brood hierarchy. The Brood Queen is headquartered on Broodworld in the Pegasus System. There have likely been numerous queens over the years. One Brood Queen took an active role in a conflict against the Shi'ar and Empress Lilandra Neramani's new Earth allies, the X-Men.
Years later, another Brood Queen became a member of the Galactic Council, which comprised multiple intergalactic empires. This Brood Queen was killed by the angel known as Angela.
