The Bronx is the northernmost of the Five Boroughs of New York City. It is also the newest of the 62 counties of New York State. Located northeast of Manhattan and south of Westchester County, New York, the Bronx is the only borough situated primarily on the North American mainland

- The South Bronx is an area of the New York City borough the Bronx, and incorporates several neighborhoods. It is located in the southwestern region of the borough and includes neighborhoods such as Concourse, Mott Haven, Melrose, and Port Morris. A low-income district, it has become known for crime and poverty, but has since become a social hub for the hip-hop community. In Marvel Comics continuity, disgraced reporter Eddie Brock lived in a run down tenement building in the South Bronx in the days just prior to becoming the anti-hero known as Venom.
