Biography[]
Brian Calusky was born in Brooklyn, New York City. His early childhood however, was spent on a farm and he became a farmhand as he grew older. Bored with the life of a farmer, he tried his hand at more exciting ventures, such as pursuing a life of crime. This eventually got Calusky into trouble with the law, and he was sent to prison. While serving time, Brian became a cellmate of Dirk Garthwaite. Dirk had already established himself as a costumed criminal called the Wrecker.
Along with two other prisoners named Henry Camp and Eliot Franklin, Brian and Dirk staged a daring escape from prison. Garthwaite used his mystically endowed crowbar to distribute power to his newfound confederates. Brian Calusky was gifted with prodigious strength and superhuman durability. The group formed a team called the Wrecking Crew, and Calusky took on the code name of Piledriver.
