Description[]
A Brain Mine is a small gold-colored technological device utilized by the Deviants. By applying it to the forehead of an individual, it placed them into a state of suspended animation, designed to induce permanent shock. The Brain Mine was even effective against the immortals known as the Eternals.
History[]
When the Deviants forged their first raid upon the modern world, they captured the Eternal known as Ikaris. They placed a Brain Mine upon him and kept him in a cylindrical tube aboard one of their raiding crafts. The Eternal known as Thena forged a truce with the Deviants, which included the release of Ikaris. As such, the Brain Mine was removed.
Notes[]
- The Brain Mine is but one of dozens of wacky concepts cultivated from the mind of writer and artist Jack Kirby.
