Biography[]
Boucher, first name unknown, was a police officer servicing the towns of Castle Rock and Jerusalem's Lot, Maine in the common era. One evening in 2019, he pulled over Ace Merrill, who had been speeding in his tow truck and drinking alcohol. Ace gave Boucher the middle finger, which caused the officer to approach the vehicle.
What Boucher didn't know was that Ace had been possessed the spirit of a 17th century cultist named Pastor Augustin. Ace killed Boucher and brought his body back to the Marsten House where it was placed inside of a coffin filled with a mysterious sticky substance. The substance resurrected Boucher's body, but he was now possessed by one of Augustin's allies, Patrice. [1]
Augstin, Patrice, and the other resurrected cult members wanted to use Annie Wilkes as the vessel for the spirit of their prophet, Amity Lambert. However, Annie was on medication, which made it difficult for the invading spirit to maintain dominance. As a police officer, Boucher had the ability to get close to Annie, and switched her medications.
Boucher was sacrificed by the cult by being suspended upside down from a crucifix and lit on fire. Hassan was the one who set the bodies on fire. [2]
