Bokos is a fictional island featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with the Superman line of comic titles and first appeared in World's Finest Comics #191 in February, 1970.
Description[]
Bokos is the name of an island on the planet Krypton. It is situated in between the Red Ocean and the Dandahu Ocean off the coast of the continent of Urrika. Over the years, it has become known as a safe haven for criminals and refugees.
History[]
Eons ago, an alien being of godlike power named Calox arrived on Krypton during the planet's Stone Age. He promised the primitive Kryptonians that he would teach them the secrets of the universe, and they immediately took towards worshiping him, regarding Calox as the "Supreme One". He demonstrated his tremendous power by transforming a rock bed into a garden.
Millennia later, an excavation team discovered what they believed to be the preserved remains of Calox.
