Robert Gene "Bobby" Henkel is a fictional psychopath and two-time mass murderer and the main antagonist from the 1986 slasher film Sorority House Massacre. He was played by actor John C. Russell in the film.

Biography[]

Bobby Henkel lived in Los Angeles, California. He was the oldest of five siblings, and the only male among them. One day, something in Bobby snapped and caused him to go on a killing spree. He killed both of his parents, and three his younger sisters with an axe. One of his sisters, Laura Beth Henkel, survived but had a scar from a knife wound on her right upper arm. Laura later went to live with an aunt, but repressed all of the memories of the incident.

Bobby was remanded to the Peligro Valley State Mental Hospital and resided in Room 26. Bobby shared a psychic link with his sister, and the two siblings could often see through each other's eyes and share psychokinetic impressions with each other. As Laura (now calling herself just Beth) had no memory of her brother, she was bereft of the meaning behind the psychic impressions she had been receiving, which usually manifested as dreams.

Years later, Beth's aunt passed away, and Beth went to live at the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority house. As it turned out, the sorority house was the same building that she grew up in.

Bobby Henkel broke out of Peligro Valley, murdering an orderly, and later a hardware store proprietor. Driven by images of his surviving sister, he sought her out to finish her off. Beth and her sorority sisters were having a small get together and her sisters' boyfriends had come to the sorority house to spend time with them.

Bobby Henkel arrived at the sorority house to continue his murder spree. First he killed a boy named Andy by stabbing him once in the abdomen. Next he killed a girl named Tracy by stabbing her two times in the chest after shredding a tipi that she had been in. Entering the sorority house, he found a boy named John asleep on the couch and stabbed him in the back. After that, he stabbed a girl named Sara three times in the chest. When the girls realized that there was a killer in the house, they tried to escape by way of a chain link emergency ladder. Tracy's boyfriend Craig held the bottom of the ladder in place, but Bobby came up behind him, stabbing him in the back. Bobby then entered the house to find his sister. Beth's friend Linda attacked Bobby, striking him several times across the back with a garden hoe. Bobby rose and stabbed Linda in the center of her spine. She died minutes later. Beth finally got the upper hand and stabbed her brother through the back of the neck with the blade emerging from his throat.
