"The Madmen" is the title to the first issue of the sixth volume of the Blue Beetle comic book series published by Charlton Comics. The story was plotted by Steve Ditko and written by D.C. Glanzman. Ditko also provided the artwork and inks for this story, as well as the cover art illustration. Lettering is by Bob Agnew and "A. Machine". This issue also boasts a six-page back-up story featuring Vic Sage, the Question. This story was also written and drawn by Steve Ditko. This issue shipped with an October, 1967 cover date and carries a cover price of .12 cents per copy.

- According to Comic Book Artist #9, Steve Ditko did not wish to receive credit for his work as a writer on this issue. Charlton Comics senior editor Dick Giordano asked D.C. Glanzman to use his name instead and he agreed.
