"House of Chthon" is the premiere episode of the vampire action series Blade: The Series, which is a spin-off of the Blade film series by New Line Cinema. The two-hour pilot episode was directed by Peter O'Fallon with a script written by David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns. It first aired on Spike TV on Wednesday, June 28th, 2006 at 10:00 pm.
Synopsis[]
In this episode, Blade - the half-human/half-vampire slayer of the undead returns to his home town of Detroit, Michigan to systematically bring down the growing empire of the vampire urban renovator Marcus Van Sciver.
A U.S. Army sergeant named Krista Starr returns home only to learn that her twin brother Zack was viciously murdered. Her investigation into her her brother's death leads her to Van Sciver and the world of Blade. While trying to infiltrate Van Sciver's operation, Krista finds herself forced into a world she could never have expected and her life takes a dramatic and shocking change that will haunt her - for all eternity.
