Volume One is the first volume in the comic book reprint series Black Panther by Jack Kirby. It collects issue numbers 107 of the 1977 American superhero comic book series Black Panther by Marvel Comics. The provincial issues of the series were written and illustrated entirely by Jack Kirby, who also provided the cover art illustrations for all original issues. Ink work was provided by Mike Royer who also provided the lettering on the isues. Original coloring was by Petra Goldberg, Irene Vartanoff, Dave Hunt and George Roussos. The reprint edition was edited by Jeff Youngquist with Jennifer Grünwald as assistant editor. This volume shipped with a February, 2005 cover date and carried a cover price of $19.99 per copy (US). The early issues of the series follows the adventures of King T'Challa - the Black Panther, as he goes on various adventures across the African continent as well as his nation home of Wakanda. Along the way he befriends a treasure-seeker named Mister Little, goes on a journey to find King Solomon's frogs, meets a futuristic alien called Hatch-22, battles a Yeti and deals with a mutated half-brother named Jakarra.
