A biker is an informal descriptor of someone who is a motorcycle enthusiast. In addition to riding and the maintenance of motorcycles, common stereotypes would describe a biker as a rugged, tough-looking individual (usually male) with an unkempt appearance, often sporting a big mustache and/or beard (again, usually male, but this is not always a guarantee). American bikers pride themselves on their ride, which is usually some model of Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
By and large, bikers are humans from the planet Earth, but speculative fiction would never seek to pigeonhole this classification of hobbyist to merely a single race. In DC Comics, the interstellar bounty hunter, Lobo, is a galactic biker who rides a "space hog". There are also a trio of sentient bipedal mice who hail from the planet Mars, who came to Earth a number of years ago and settled down in Detroit, where they engaged in various adventures as the aptly named, Biker Mice from Mars.
The futuristic cyborg hunter-killers known as Terminators look to bikers for their keen fashion sense. One particular model, the T-800, was known to brutalize bikers in order to steal their clothes, such as a heavy leather jacket, boots, and sunglasses - to say nothing of stealing their wheels as well.
