"Big Bad" is a neologism used in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It is a nickname, which refers to the primary antagonist of the program, rotating between characters once per season. Examples of "Big Bads" found in the series include The Master, Angel, Mayor Richard Wilkins III, Glorificus, Warren Mears and the First Evil. The term was never really applied in the Angel television series, though they did have seasonal adversaries such as Daniel Holtz and Jasmine.
