The Beyonders are a fictional alien race featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. They were referenced as early as 1980 in Marvel Two-In-One #63, which featured a team-up between The Thing and Adam Warlock. A member of their race made behind-the-scenes appearances in the 1984-85 maxi-series event Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars, and in truth, was the architect governing all of the events that took place in that series. This single member of the race, dubbed The Beyonder, assumed corporeal form and became the central antagonist in that title's 1985 sequel event, Secret Wars II.
Description[]
The Beyonders are an ancient alien race of omnipotent beings. Their place of origin is unknown, but they occupy a dimension known only as the Beyond Realm, which lies outside the known multiverse. The Beyonders channel powerful energies, and it is these cosmic energies that enabled them fuel powerful artifacts such as the Cosmic Cube.
