Overview[]
Bernard O'Brien was an elderly police officer who worked for the New York City Police Department. He was based out of Queens. One evening, many years ago, the NYPD received a call about a break-in in the neighborhood of Forest Hills. O'Brien and several other officers responded to the call where they discovered that a burglar had shot and killed a man named Ben Parker in his home. Officer O'Brien was tasked with delivering the unfortunate news to Ben's fifteen-year-old nephew, Peter Parker. Parker overheard officers mention that they had tracked the criminal to the Acme warehouse. Parker donned his Spider-Man costume and made his way to the warehouse to apprehend him. [1]
