Benny Lafitte is a fictional vampire and a recurring character featured on the CW Network television series Supernatural. He was played by actor Ty Olsson and first appeared in the season eight premiere, "We Need to Talk About Kevin". Including flashbacks and hallucinations, he made eight appearances in the series in total. He made five actual appearances.
Biography[]
As a human, Benny Lafitte resided in the small town of Clayton in Concordia Parish in Louisiana. He was turned into a vampire by an ancient entity known only as the "Old Man". When Benny's vampire form "died", he was buried in a small patch of woods near a windmill. His soul went to Purgatory. Benny encountered another lost denizen, Dean Winchester, who had been battling other vampires, and various monsters. The two formed a loose confederation and agreed to assist one another to escape Purgatory. Benny made Dean promise that if he were to escape, he would find away to resurrect Benny's corporeal remains. After nearly a year (Earth time), Dean did in fact escape. True to his word, he journeyed to Clayton and found Benny's grave. He unearthed his skeleton, annointed it with his blood, then spoke an incantation that brought Benny back to life in a flash of orange light. [1]
