Belle Reve Penitentiary is a fictional prison featured on media related to DC Comics. It appeared in numerous DC Comics publications, usually relating to their Suicide Squad line of titles. It first appeared in Suicide Squad #1 in May, 1987. Belle Reve has also made appearances on the WB Network/CW Network television series Smallville and has appeared in the 2016 feature film Suicide Squad.
Description[]
Belle Reve is a maximum-security prison compound. It is located in Terrebonne Parish in Louisiana, not far from the city of St. Roch. It is administered by the authority of Task Force X and has been used as the central headquarters for the Suicide Squad.
