The series received widespread critical acclaim and has been adapted into a feature film in 2009, a television series in 2019 and a motion comic.
  • This series is rated M. It is suggested for mature readers.
  • This issue shipped with a variant cover illustrated by Chip Kidd.
  • This issue also shipped as a combo-pack variant, which includes a digital copy of the issue with a slightly re-colored version of the Lee Bermejo cover.
  • This issue includes a two-page back-up feature titled "The Curse of the Crimson Corsair: Wide Were His Dragon Wings (Part 8)". It was written and illustrated by John Higgins with lettering by Sal Cipriano.
  • The cab driver that picks Rorschach up bears a strong likeness to Travis Bickle, who is the main character from the 1976 film Taxi Driver, as portrayed by actor Robert De Niro. In the film, Travis Bickle shares a similar mindset and behavior as that of Rorschach.
