Beatrice Whitney Straight was an American film and television actress. She was born in Old Westbury, New York on August 2nd, 1914. Beatrice Straight is the third actress to play the role of Queen Hippolyta on the 1975-1979 superhero fantasy series Wonder Woman following Cloris Leachman and Carolyn Jones. She first appeared in the premiere episode from season two, "The Return of Wonder Woman" where her character is referred to only as "The Queen". She also appeared in episode 2x04, "The Bermuda Triangle Crisis".
