Bavaria is the largest federal state in the European country of Germany. It comprises the southeastern region of the country and has an area of 27,239.29 square miles.
Bavaria is the ancestral home of the Arcane family, who are featured in comic books published by DC Comics. Most notable amongst this family is the evil mad scientist Anton Arcane, who maintained a castle in the mountains where he created his hideous mutations, the Un-Men.
